Sawade is the oldest chocolate factory in Berlin
With passion and love, Sawade produces fresh pralines, truffles and chocolate specialities from natural ingredients using traditional recipes. Accurate craftsmanship 100% Made in Berlin, balanced sweetness and exquisite quality are the trademarks of the several times internationally award-winning pralines. Sawade does not use chemical preservatives, artificial flavours or substitutes and of course does not use palm oil. Instead, only good ingredients are used, such as fresh cream, fine chocolate couverture, best marzipan and nougat with the finest grinding degree.
Founded in 1880, the royal court became aware of this and awarded Sawade the title of supplier to the royal court. Some Sawade specialities, such as the Zarenhappen or Queen Luise’s pie, still have a royal name.
